HOW TO BE A CELEBRITY

I have been receiving lots of emails from wonderful members of this blog, asking me different questions on various aspects of life. As a medium to answer their question, I have decided to add a “how to” column to this blog.
Today I chose “How to be a celebrity” because it is one question most youth of today frequently ask. For those of you who are upcoming singers, artists, actors, models, producers, fashion designers or any other aspect of the entertainment industry, read this and get tips on how to be popular.

1.      Create your own personality. Without a personality of your own you can’t be a celebrity, your personality is what you are known for.

2.      Get an agent. Don't rush into getting an agent, carefully find a good one that appreciates your art and is willing to support you all the way.

3.      Master a single talent of yours. Improve on a particular talent. Don’t be a jack of all trades and master of none.

4.      Get a good publicist. Get a publicist that can help you be on magazine pages if possible front pages and centre pages. Also for musicians, one that can help publish your songs online.

5.      Get your audience. You could do this by meeting people who are interested in your talent. Going to talent hunts could also help in getting your audience as this is an avenue for people to meet you.

6.      Smile your way to the top. As a celebrity you must not be seen in a bad mood on or off camera. So u must try as much as possible to show only your happy side in public.

7.      Post videos of such on websites such as www.youtube.com

8.      Be there. Attend parties of well known celebrities around you, be available for the media at all times.

9.      Dress like what you do. Honestly I don’t expect a gospel artist to look like lil wayne. Most times your fashion speaks for you, so dress the way you want to be addressed.

10.   Work hard. Every well known person you admire does this. So be hard working and be very good at your art and you will definitely become the next big thing in your region.
