GOLDIE'S DEATH; Cause and prevention tips

It is with deep sadness i wish to inform you of the death of Nigerian Singer, "Goldie Harvey" who died on the 14th of February 2013. Sources said she just arrived from her trip to US and after a while of liveliness, something went wrong and she she took ill after which she was immediately rushed to Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island Lagos were she was reported dead. It got to my notice that the cause of this painful death of the supposed next-best thing (she was going to start a show with her best friend "Derenle")  in the entertainment industry was headache. That is why I took pains to make a research on how to maintain your health and prevent headache.

HOW TO AVOID HEADACHE
  • Stress is the major cause of headaches, manage your stress level: I know what is possibly running through your mind is "how can i manage my stress level?" It is not impossible, you can do this by practicing some stress management techniques like visualization, yoga, deep breathing, regular massage, and progressive relaxation.
  •  Cultivate one sleep pattern: A change of sleep pattern causes headache for most people. Also make sure you sleep more than 6 six hours every night, as lack of sleep causes strain to the brain
  • Do not skip meals, eat sufficiently:The problem of having a bad diet plan could be worse especially when you have a high sugar intake. Sugar causes a sharp rise in blood sugar before bottoming out. Eat a well balanced meal with protein and complex carbohydrate to stabilize blood sugar.
  •  Do regular but moderate exercise for tension and stress reduction: Exercise should be moderate since overdoing exercise can also trigger headaches.
  •  Drink water, because dehydration can trigger headaches: Water plays a vital role in the human body, its not expensive so drink it. Even when not thirsty drink water so that when you feel thirst, you will be moderately dehydrated.
  • Control your alcohol: It will be very difficult to tell you to stop drinking especially the men, but if you can stop alcohol please stop it, and if you cant cut it down because alcohol can be a headache trigger. If you drink alcohol, try to take it moderately, lets say a bottle or two of beer daily, and when it comes to spirits take few shots.
  • QUIT SMOKING!!! and avoid exposure to cigarette smoke: In case you didn't know, second hand smoke can be as dangerous as smoking itself. It can cause the brain's blood vessels to narrow. The result of this is headache on one side of the head called cluster headaches.
  •  Know your headache triggers: If you know what triggers headache for you, it will be lot more easier to avoid them in-order to prevent headache.
  1. Know the food that is your trigger.
  2. Determine if harsh smells can lead to headaches, some migraine-prone people confirms  that strong smells from things like paint or perfume can trigger a migraine.
  3. Notice if weather triggers too, since both low barometric pressure (usually before it rains) or high temperatures can lead to headaches.
Try these tips to see if they can help you prevent headaches. Sometimes, headaches get unavoidable and unpredictable, if you ever get a headache please see a Doctor as quickly as possible.
P.S. No matter how little, don't underestimate any ailment, get a family Doctor you can always visit when something is not right with your body system.

Finally, R.I.P Goldie, I will like to encourage the family, friends, fans and business partners of the late singer to take heart and they should not forget that the years she spent on earth was not wasted because she achieved  what lots of people can not achieve in a longer life span. Eternal rest grant unto her and let perpetual light shine upon her soul. Amen
